The two decks of the Finlay 883+ give a total screening area of 14.4m2

The highly versatile and adaptable machine is suitable for working in quarrying, mining, construction and demolition debris, topsoil, recycling, sand, gravel, coal, and aggregate applications.

The machine’s aggressive forward-facing inclined modular configuration screenbox has a 4.8 x 1.5-metre (16’ x 5’) top deck. The banana profile of the bottom deck increases the area to 4.8 x 1.5 meters and maximises screening of fines. Combined the two decks give a total screening area of 14.4 square metres.

"The Finlay 883+ scalper has been robustly engineered with the operator in mind and is proven globally in a wide range of applications. It has a rock-solid reputation in New Zealand.

Without doubt, it’s the market leader in its class," says Gary Payne of Finlay Group NZ. Depending on the working application of the machine, hydraulic adjustment can be used to vary the angle of the screen box between 13 and 19 degrees and the end of the screen box can be hydraulically raised 500mm to facilitate efficient and easy media access.

The top deck of screenbox can be fitted with a variety of screening media, including tines, bofor bars, punched plates, and mesh. The bottom deck can be fitted with mesh or cascade fingers.

A high torque drive steel pan apron feeder is fitted to the machine as standard and has proven performance and versatility in demanding and varied working environments.

The hopper has a seven cubic metre capacity as standard with a drop rear door for use in conjunction with a mobile crusher. The Finlay 883+ machine is equipped with three hydraulically folding discharge conveyors allowing for maximum stockpiling capacity and associated benefits of rapid set-up and tear-down times.

Additional features of the machine include galvanised access ladders and catwalks fitted as standard to both sides of the screen box. Hydraulic raising of the screenbox discharge end provides additional clearance for screenbox and fines transfer conveyor maintenance.
