The Phoenix’s innovative design provides excellent fuel efficiency and low operating costs while also reducing emissions and noise levels

Mobile Screening & Crushing (MSC) commissioned a new Terex Ecotec Phoenix 1600 trommel recently put to full-time work on a customer’s site, screening compost.

"The Phoenix 1600 drum screen has been innovatively designed to deliver excellent fuel efficiency and low operating costs while reducing emission and noise levels due to the machine running at a low engine RPM," says Dan Meikle, MSC operations manager.

The trommel screen measures 4.9 (16’) x 1.54 metres (5’) and is said to offer an unrivalled production rate, thanks to the large screening area.

MSC says the versatile Phoenix 1600 can easily screen a variety of materials, including arable land, compost, sand and gravel, wood chips, and C & D waste.

"Woven mesh or a heavy-duty punch plate can be installed on the drum to meet all application requirements," says Dan.
