Product feature: Hydrema 707G dumper

Hydrema has now introduced a brand-new site dumper in the six- to nine-tonne range, the 707G

The Hydrema dump truck series have been popular ever since they entered the New Zealand market.

Both the 10-tonne 912 dump trucks and the 20-tonne 922 dump trucks have proven themselves to be the perfect machines for the harsh New Zealand conditions due to its cross country abilities and versatility on many jobsites, the manufacturer says, adding that the low ground pressure enables the machines to reach places that other machines simply cannot.

Designed in Denmark and built in Germany, these machines have been made with the highest quality materials with true German workmanship.

Hydrema has now introduced a brand-new site dumper in the six- to nine-tonne range, the 707G. This has been designed specifically to meet new required safety specs for site dumpers around the world.

Hydrema says the new model has excellent all-round visibility, high stability, easy one-step access to the cab, and great performance. It is fitted with a 3.8-litre Stage 5 Cummins engine. The 707G has a fully variable hydrostatic transmission, achieving speeds of up to 34 km/h without interrupting traction.

Hydrema’s main focus for the 707G was safety and visibility, and the manufacturer says they’ve achieved 100% visibility forward and to the sides and have provided large mirrors and rear-view cameras for the rear.

The roomy cab, taken from Hydrema’s excavator range, offers the operator high levels of protection and superb comfort.

One-step entry enables the operator to take only one step to enter the cab, and they can remain seated while the dump truck is loaded. For the best possible stability, Hydrema says they have simply copied the chassis design of the 912 model. The chassis comes with the unique Hydrema articulation with oscillation joint and double hydraulic stabilisers.

The machine is imported as standard with the 180-degree multi-tip (swivel tip), which gives the 707G greater flexibility and makes it ideal for working in confined areas.

All the operator functions are controlled by means of a multi-function joystick in the right armrest. Just as in the 912 dump truck, it follows the movements of the seat. In addition, the cab is air suspended and equipped with air conditioning as standard.

In the future, Hydrema hopes to release a multi-chassis model, which will enable users to mount a variety of chassis on the dump truck such as a flatbed, salt or water spreader, fuel bowser, etc.

The 707G is now available in New Zealand for hire or purchase, from NZAM Machinery in Palmerston North.
