There’s no beating around the bush with Chris Watt and Josiah Steiner from NZ Machine Hire. The two brothers-in-law share a strong bond, enjoy similar interests, and are often found out dirt biking together. And they are making a name for themselves with their flexible and prompt customer service, and, of course, the reliability of their Kubota 1.7- to five-tonne excavator hire range.

Chris and Josiah say that flexibility and reliability form the core values at NZ Machine Hire. Also, their warm approach, efficient service, and diligent maintenances ensure their machines operate smoothly for every customer.

"From our time in the industry, we’ve seen what integrity and a can-do approach can do for the business," Chris says.

Josiah is a project manager for cleanfill sites, machine operator, and an earthmover. Growing up in a farming family, he was exposed to heavy machinery from a young age.

Chris, a qualified diesel mechanic, has always gravitated towards vehicles and heavy machinery. Starting his career off as a light vehicle mechanic, he went on to drive trucks and operate other machinery in his uncle’s quarrying business. He and his wife Domonique caught Western Australia’s mining boom, and they both spent five years driving and maintaining the large machines.

NZ Machine Hire is currently servicing the wider Auckland region. "Our goal is to build a reputation for excellence in customer service, providing premium quality machinery, maintained to the highest standard, ensuring efficient outcomes for all," Chris and Josiah say.
