Hidromek export manager visits New Zealand

Hidromek company export area manager, Bahadir Yilmaz, pays a visit to New Zealand

Coinciding with the arrival of their first excavators into New Zealand; Hidromek company export area manager, Bahadir Yilmaz, made a point of being in the country at the same time, ensuring the company was well-represented for the initial delivery.

"New Zealand has high potential for us and this is a really promising start," says Bahadir. "Magnum Equipment is exactly the type of business that fits with our business model as we expand the Hidromek brand around the world."

Bahadir explains the Hidromek brand is the number one selling machine in its home region of Turkey, and is performing very well in a number of overseas markets.

"We are number one in Argentina, number two in Chile; number one in Algeria, Tunisia; Israel we are number two; Bulgaria number one," he says.

Currently the brand produces around 10,000 units per annum and the Hidromek business is strategically pushing forward with further expansion plans to enable more machines to be delivered worldwide.

"Our goal is to have capacity to enable the doubling of production by 2020," he says.
According to Bahadir, all current expansion which includes the building of new factories has been funded by the company’s own capital.

"There are about 1000 companies based in Ankara (Turkey) who export. Last year it was announced we exported ten percent of the total of all the combined businesses," he says.

"We see New Zealand as being a receptive market to our range of machines, and Magnum Equipment will definitely allow us to obtain a strong foothold through their Magnum Hire outlet."
