As businesses work through their strategies for the new business environment, Boss Attachments says they are well-positioned to assist them on the road to recovery. The company says they do things a wee bit different than others in the industry.

With more than 35 years of hands-on contracting and construction experience, MD Paul Herbison is happy to pass on his knowledge in the industry to help his clients and regularly spends hours on the phone with they and clients are also seen as an extension of the business.

"If they do well, we do too," says Paul, "so we put that extra effort to ensure our clients’ businesses succeed." Each and every one of the world-leading brands that Boss represents in New Zealand and Australia are now back in full production as is the team at Boss Attachments, with all the required protocols in place to provide their clients with a risk-free supply chain.

"Also, and well before the lockdown actually started, we took steps to mitigate any risk to our supply chain and ensured that sufficient spare parts were procured to provide us with a six-month buffer," says Paul.

Since its inception, Boss Attachments has maintained a clear focus on the representation of brands that are able to add significant production and financial gains to clients’ business operations. Paul says the feedback received from clients has been positive.

These performance-proven brands include Spain’s Xcentric International, who lead the world in the design and manufacture of advanced hydraulic work tools. The company’s Xcentric Crusher Bucket can generate up to 35% higher production than conventional buckets and Paul says that one New Zealand client was so impressed with his bucket’s performance that he brought a second one.

In his words, "The XC20 is bloody brilliant." The Xcentric Ripper, which, Boss Attachments says, is up to five times more productive than hydraulic breakers has also made its mark on clients in New Zealand and also often been termed as "a real game-changer".

"One of these XR rippers operating at a South Island construction project was purchased because the other machine on-site couldn’t cut it," says Paul.

Boss also represents the Dymax Tree Shear and Antraquip Milling Head ranges, both of which have each proved its worth in wide-ranging New Zealand conditions.

Prominent green management specialists Treescape now have three Dymax Tree Shears in their inventory and as well as the production advantages gained, they have also been impressed with increased operator safety that they’ve been able to achieve, particularly when operating in confined spaces or near power lines.

During the past 18 months, Antraquip drum cutters have made an impact across many landmark New Zealand projects involving wide-ranging aggregate types. These have included successfully cut and milled concrete, greywacke, blue basalt, hard blue sandstone, stabilised road pavement, and mud crete operations.

"Collectively, our brands deliver unbeatable solutions for the demolition, forestry, mining, quarrying, roading, construction, and contracting sectors," says Paul. "They also provide clients with the tools they need to generate the increases in production and profits that New Zealand businesses are looking for right now."
