Product feature: Aakron Xpress Humbaur tipper

The new Humbaur 3.5-tonne three-way tipper trailer was recently released in NZ and is distributed by Aakron Xpress Ltd

Aakron Xpress Ltd, the NZ distributor of the Humbaur range of innovative commercial and farm trailers are enthusiastic about the recent release and acceptance of the 3.5-tonne three-way tipper trailer.

Visitors to the New Zealand Agricultural Field Days® at Mystery Creek were impressed by the quality and intelligent design of the unit on display and its ease of use and versatility. But the factor that got everyone excited was the extremely competitive price; no more than a normal one-way tipper.

The 3.5-tonne three-way tipper trailer was recently released in NZ

Three-way tipping opens many possibilities that are closed to a back-tip-only machine and could benefit builders, contractors, farmers, orchardists, and market gardeners. Since Field Days, many units have been sold or are on backorder and new business is already arising by referral from customers who were early adopters.

From side mulching rows of avocado trees to dumping rubbish or firewood in awkward places, applying scoria to a drain line, or feeding out sideways along a raceway, new uses are discovered every day. Additionally, the rear gate has a top hinge ability for spreading raceway metal and all sides can be removed in easily to convert the unit to a flat deck, which is a great asset when side-loading pallets.

Humbaur has 415 different models of trailers

Aakron Xpress says as well as the three-way tippers, an array of some 415 other models means that almost every imaginable trailer need can be catered for.

When you think of German engineering excellence, you think of Mercedes, BMW, Bosch, and so on. Now Humbaur continues a well-earned tradition of quality and innovation that few other countries can claim.

Manufacturers say all components are made from best-quality steel or alloys, precision laser cut, extruded or molded, hot-dip galvanized as appropriate and assembled to a uniformly precise standard not normally seen in such down to earth equipment.

Founded in 1957, Humbaur has produced more than 800,000 trailers since. Now with 415 different models produced by 500 employees in a huge 120,000sqm facility, the output runs to an average 1000 trailers per week. With that sort of production, the manufacturer says, you can afford the best teams of designers, testing facilities, quality assurance systems, and so on.

Humbaur GmbH has become one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of trailers. An important factor in their success is the many new developments they bring to the market year after year. They take a long-term view and attach great importance to research and development. Since 1984, they have been one of the major influencers shaping the future of trailer construction worldwide.

Humbaur says they constantly invest in the latest manufacturing technology so that their innovative trailers comply with the most stringent quality requirements. They also pay attention to good working conditions, which itself has an additional beneficial effect on quality. They construct and produce in one location, which means short development paths and clear, confident, cross-departmental collaboration.

Investment in optimum production processes enables on-going manufacture of innovative, improved, trailers. Humbaur says that by using modern laser-cutting, injection and extrusion processes, which are unique in the trailer business, the highest fitting accuracy, stability, and especially smooth finishes are achieved. Such production methods also enable low emission levels, which have beneficial environmental and human effects.
