Bell Equipment releases the B20E 6x6 ADT

Bell Equipment recently extended its global product offering with a Tier 4 version of its 20-tonne truck—the B20E 6x6

The manufacturers say the new model offers customers the benefit of safety and performance-enhancing technologies developed by the company over the past 30 years.

Based on the company’s B25E and B30E trucks, the B20E 6x6 has a well-proven platform that has been put to the test in high production environments across the globe.

Bell says that although the B20E is physically smaller than its larger counterparts, it has comparable capabilities packaged within a more compact unit, making it suitable for use on small- to medium-sized job sites.

The B20E offers a similar power-to-weight ratio to other Bell ADTs, providing a balance between performance and fuel consumption. For example, the B20E can produce the same power-to-weight ratio as the Bell B30E (5.11kW/tonne).

The vehicle is also fitted with wet brakes to offer sealed protection against deep mud, and customers can alternate between standard 20.5R25 earthmoving tyres or low-profile, extra-wide 800/45 R30.5 tyres, designed to offer significantly reduced ground pressure and market-leading flotation in excessively muddy or soft sandy underfoot conditions.

Furthermore, the B20E also has a turning circle of 3.7m, with 800mm wide tyres, and ground pressure as low as 95kPa. The load-over height of 2.5m allows the ADT’s bin to be filled using various loading tools. The B20E is due for release in New Zealand later this year.
