It was a no-brainer for machinery hire company Crush & Screen to optimise the success of its hire operations by adding complementary products to their line-up. They identified a clear opportunity to add value to their client relationships in the quarrying, demolition, civil, and recycling sectors by including a range of hydraulic attachments alongside Crush & Screen’s hire machinery.

They had in mind the heavy excavator category and envisaged solid, quality attachments to match—such as rock breakers and pulverizers—that could withstand the often-punishing work on quarry and demo sites.

After researching international markets, Crush & Screen settled on an exclusive New Zealand sales agency with the highly respected Italian designer and manufacturer, Indeco.
While there were plenty of hydraulic attachment suppliers around, Crush & Screen says they purposely chose to ‘play’ in the high-quality, high-performance category and in that respect, Indeco was a clear-cut winner to partner with.

The dealership for Indeco was sealed on the basis of their history, range, and reputation for quality alongside superior technology to drive efficient performance. While the brand will be a newcomer to the New Zealand market, they’re well known internationally and have one of their many subsidiary offices operating in Australia, so parts and supply for New Zealand can be easily and swiftly managed.

Spotlight on Indeco HP Series Hammers

All Indeco hammers are installed with the ABF system

Indeco has its roots in hammers since they began designing and manufacturing hydraulic hammers in Italy back in 1976. Globally, the hammers are known for their excellent ratio between energy input and energy output and as a consequence, their optimum efficiency, the manufacturer says.

All Indeco hammers are installed with the ABF (Anti-Blank Firing) system—Indeco’s patented technology that considerably improves the hammer’s performance and durability. In addition, the Indeco HP Series hammers carry the FS (Fuel Saving) mark, indicating the hammer needs less hydraulic power to operate, resulting in a significant reduction in the carrier machine’s RPM and achieving up to 20% fuel savings.

"They consistently deliver excellent performance and maximum productivity and require less oil per minute and lower operating pressures than hammers made by other manufacturers in terms of weight and performance," says Crush & Screen’s sales manager, Dane Fitzpatrick.

Crush & Screen will be supplying the hammer range, pulverizers, compactors, shears, multi-grabs, mulching heads, and multiprocessors within New Zealand and will offer purchase or hire options.

Interested parties can arrange to trial an attachment at the Mt Wellington, Auckland site. Crush & Screen can supply a complete unit on hire if required—excavator plus attachment.
