MSC offer a range of scalping screens, crushers, screening buckets, and conveyors for dry hire or long-term lease, and with support personnel in both the North and South Island their hire fleet works on a variety of applications nationwide.

In addition to Evoquip scalping screens, MSC have recently added the newly re-vamped Evoquip Bison 280 jaw crusher to their hire gear;

Bison 280 Jaw Crusher

Bison -280

The Bison 280 is a compact and aggressive track mobile jaw crusher featuring the proven Terex ‘900mm x 600mm’ single toggle jaw crusher. This machine utilises an extremely fuel-efficient and powerful ‘direct drive’ system to power the crusher which provides excellent performance in recycling, contracting, and quarrying industries.

The EvoQuip Bison 280 has been working in a tough granite site at Peter O’Donnell & Sons Quarry in Ireland. Managing Director Peter O’Donnell says, "The productivity and performance of the EvoQuip Bison 280 really has surpassed our expectations. While the machine itself is very compact, it is definitely not a lightweight machine as it consistently produces a quality product at a high throughput and low cost per tonne in our quarry".

Ease of use

The rapid set-up time and intuitive control system on the EvoQuip Bison 280 enables the operator to be crushing minutes after unloading the machine from the transporter. The operator can also adjust the crusher setting easily without the need for any tools thanks to the user-friendly hydraulic jaw adjustment system.

Versatility

The EvoQuip Bison 280 offers the customer exceptional flexibility as it can be used on a multitude of natural stone applications including granite, river gravel and basalt. The Bison 280 can also be used on various recycling applications including construction and demolition waste, recycled concrete, and reclaimed railway sleepers.

Performance

The Bison 280 uses a fuel-efficient and high performing direct drive system to power the jaw crusher. This, along with the simple to operate jaw adjustment, allows the operator to optimise the material throughput and reduction whilst ensuring the best fuel efficiency.

Optimal Material Flow

There are a number of key design features in the BISON 280 that ensure optimal material flow throughout the crushing process. The vibrating feeder automatically regulates the flow of material into the crusher based on the engine load and this ensures that an optimal choke feed is kept in the jaw. The impressive under crusher clearance along with the excellent tunnelling then ensures an unrestricted flow of material even in the harshest of recycling applications.

Scalping Screen options

MSC also offer two Evoquip scalping screens for dry hire; the Evoquip Colt 600 is an 8’x4’, double-deck tracked scalping screen capable of a two and three way split. The larger Evoquip Colt 800 is a 9’x4’, double-deck tracked screen with a throughput of up to 280TPH.
