Boss Attachments has added Xcentric Crusher to their growing range of world leading brands

Boss Attachments has added Xcentric Crusher to their growing range of world leading brands.

"We are focused on adding new innovative products and the Xcentric Crusher range is a whole new dimension in crusher bucket technology," NZ managing director Paul Herbison says.

"Better, faster, stronger have been the type of client comments that we've had during our Australian trials, and this range is the result of an uncompromising six-year crusher bucket development phase."

Key Xcentric Crusher features:

  • Patented isolating jaw movement ensures the material is crushed without a compacting effect and giving at least 35% greater production than conventional crusher buckets
  • Fully adjustable jaws to give an output product of +20mm to + 170mm
  • Simple and fast adjustment system. Allows adjustment of output size in less than two minutes using two simple pins.
  • Cross Top Jaws, with the circular motion, allows crushing of wet material
  • Double Effect Hydraulic System allows operators to simply reverse the crushing movement in the event of a product jam
  • Process hard materials such as granite or porphyry at 100% of the jaw opening
  • 200-hour greasing intervals
  • 80% less consumables parts than conventional crusher buckets. No toggles, no springs, etc.
  • Anti-skid transmission—higher production, less jams
  • High inertia power train, 40% less oil required to operate the crusher bucket, better fuel economy
  • HARDOX® construction ensures long-lasting durability in extreme conditions.
  • Designed and manufactured in Spain by Xcentric Crusher, only the best materials are used for excellent quality.

The solid, durable look is characterised by the recognisable clean lines designed to resist wear and high stresses in the toughest working conditions.

Extremely compact and low centre of gravity improves balance and drastically reduces the strain on the excavator arm, eliminating impact vibrations.

"And although Xcentric Crusher didn't invent the crusher bucket, they have certainly perfected it," Paul says.

Other recent brand additions to Boss Attachments have included the renowned OSA Demolition range of hydraulic shears, cutters, hammers, and pulverisers.

"OSA set the benchmark for this type of equipment," Paul says.

"Their commitment to producing advanced, innovative, high-quality, uncompromising equipment puts them in a class of their own.

"This success is the result of a focus on products that deliver extreme, added value performance to end users and a service commitment that always goes the extra mile."

OSA listens to their customers' requirements and design to suit their needs
For customers such as Rotorua-based Campbell Infrastructure, their recently purchased OSA FPV 30 pulveriser has added real value to their business.

"This is the fourth piece of equipment that we have purchased from Boss and the durability and long-term performance that we get from their equipment is fantastic," managing director Euan Campbell says.

The OSA range features both Hardox and Weldox construction and includes proven options for both primary and secondary demolition projects.

The range embraces innovative design, with features such as regenerating valves. These can reduce cycle time by 50%, which in turn keeps oil cooler and decreases the strain on the host excavator systems, thus giving added benefit of increased fuel economy.
