Penske NZ to deliver 36 MAN trucks to TIL Logistics
Penske New Zealand has secured a sizeable order of delivering 36 MAN trucks to TIL Logistics Ltd
TGS day cab and TGX XL sleeper cab will be supplied to TIL Logistics in six and eight wheeler configurations with engine output ranging from 480 and 540 horsepower. The latest order will bring TIL Logistics’ total MAN fleet to around 200 and Penske says it will make TIL Logistics the largest commercial operator of MAN in Australasia.
"Overall, the acceptance of MAN products across the fleet has been extremely positive," Jim Ramsay, managing director, TIL Logistics Ltd, says.
"Our drivers like the trucks, the fuel economy is a huge plus, and I have received many comments about how great the trucks look, which is a big positive for our company image."
Having a long working relationship with TIL Logistics, Penske New Zealand says they knew the key points that would positively influence the decision for the customer.
"We have worked with TIL for several years so we knew that safety and technology features were important, as was reliability, fuel economy, and low whole of life costs," Dean Hoverd, national sales manager—trucks, Penske New Zealand, says.
"With sound leadership, TIL has experienced huge growth and it has been exciting to work closely with the team to plan their future fleet requirements and to watch them successfully grow their business."
