The Great Wellington Truck and Transport Show for 2016 was aptly named and proved to be just that ‘great’. Check out these photos from the annual event…
The Silverstream Lions helped organise and back this excellent event with proceeds donated to the Life Flight Rescue Helicopter Service. Although the focus was of course on the trucks, there were also food stalls, bouncy castles, helicopter rides and live bands playing all day. An event for the whole family to enjoy and this certainly proved to be the case with several thousand members of the public attending on the day.
Quality Demolition was the primary sponsor of the show and its display included working trucks, a race truck and transporter and dozens of other vehicles and implements, which was nothing short of outstanding. In fact, the overall standard and presentation of all of the trucks that attended was a real credit to the drivers and operators alike. Perhaps the only thing missing for the most part of the big day was sunshine; however, the sun did show itself later in the afternoon.
