Kinshofer buys Atlas traverse cutter business

Atlas GmbH from Ganderkesee, Germany recently announced its decision to divest its traverse cutting business—which was purchased by Kinshofer—in order to focus more on its core business of excavators and cranes.

Kinshofer is a leading manufacturer in the mining, construction, landscaping, tunnelling, and demolition industries. The purchase of traverse cutters closes a gap in the company’s range of demolition tools, i.e. the Demarec MQP and DRG range or Kinshofer’s HPXdrive grapple range. Other products segments, such as landscaping and construction, would also benefit from this addition.

Kinshofer intends to roll out the new product line globally under its brand and sell and support it by its subsidiaries and regional partner distributors. The company will also undertake servicing units sold by Atlas and provide technical support as well as spare and wearparts.

Both, Brahim Stitou, president and CEO of Atlas GmbH, and Thomas Friedrich, president and CEO of the Kinshofer Group, expressed their delight about this transaction and are convinced that customers would greatly benefit from it.
