Designed to compete with graders in the 17-tonne category is XCMG’s GR2405 model that arrives in New Zealand mid-May 2018

The machine is powered by a DF Cummins QSB6.7 rated at 200-240hp, Stage III emission certified and coupled to a DANA powershift transmission with full automatic mode and is fitted with a 3965mm (13-feet) moldboard.

"We’re quite excited to finally get this model into New Zealand, as it fills a gap in the marketplace," Ross Linton, managing director of XCMG distributor Landex, says.

Ross says a lot of development has gone into the new grader, and this is evident with the improved slew bearing, overload protection devices, and other features, which its designers say surpass a lot of the more established brands but at a more affordable price tag.

"For the operator, the GR2405 has a ROPS cabin with air con and heating, reversing camera, and easy-to-use controls will make the machine a serious consideration for buyers," Ross says.
