CablePrice recently released three new models to the Hitachi ZW-5B line-up: the super compact, 18kW ZW30-5B (among the smallest mini loaders available in New Zealand), the mid-range ZW40-5B, and the larger ZW80-5B with a 49kW engine output.

The ZX17U-5A is the smallest of the range

With a one cubic metre bucket as standard, the larger ZW80-5B is ideal for garden centres, bulk landscaping suppliers, and stock feed merchants. The steering performance and turning circle on these machines are also impressive, says CablePrice, making them highly mobile and easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces.

Another versatile feature of the ZW80-5B is the optional hydraulic ‘Quick Coupler’ system, which enables the operator to seamlessly switch between a range of attachments such as buckets and forks.

The Hitachi mini excavators are capable of producing high levels of productively, while using low amounts of fuel due to its great hydraulic efficiency.

The smallest of the range, the ZX17U-5A, is designed to keep its tail close to its tracks, which allows operators to work in confined spaces, such as digging a trench down the side of a house. The tracks can also be extended and retracted by up to 200mm to suit the requirements of the job. Being lightweight and stable, the ZX17U-5A can also be easily towed behind most modern work utes, which makes transportation between job sites easy.
