Product feature: Manitou 1850RT track loader

Endraulic has released the Manitou 1850RT track loader into the New Zealand market

Building on the Mustang heritage of powerful robust machines, the Manitou 1850RT replaces the 1750RT, with the new machine featuring pilot control joysticks and additional lift capacity.

The 1850RT also comes with what its distributor Endraulic Equipment says are industry exclusive features, such as IdealTrax—automatic track tension system— and IdealAccess—cab to canopy fold-up door system.

IdealTrax

"The automatic tensioning tracks are a fantastic feature on all Manitou track loaders," says Blair Sargison, sales manager at Endraulic.

"Operators no longer have to worry about daily tension checks and the risk of de-tracking and downtime."

Blair adds it’s important to have the correct tension, as it increases track and component life, saving the customer money in the long term.

When the time arrives to replace a track, IdealTrax comes into its own. With a simple flick of a switch, the system backs off the tension and a track change can be carried out in less than 10 minutes according to the distributor.

"The stories we’ve heard about lengthy track change times with some other brands have been horrific. Downtime is lost charge out time, not to mention paying for more workshop labour," says Blair.

Along with the folding cab door allowing operation of the machine open or closed and minimising cab height, the Manitou 1850RT also features a spacious comfortable operating environment.

"The engineers have done a great job of designing a pilot control system that’s mounted to the seat and moves with the operator," says Blair.

Essentially, this means when travelling over rough ground and the high-quality suspension seat is doing its job, the controls move in unison with operator and seat.

"On other brands, either the operator has to prop their wrists to control the movement while operating the joysticks or the supplier has an electronic system which is prone to fault codes and expensive replacements," says Blair.
