CablePrice signs distributor agreement with Hill Engineering
CablePrice (NZ) Limited recently announced the signing of an exclusive distributor agreement with award-winning coupler manufacturer Hills Engineering
Hill Engineering is recognised as the UK’s leading coupler provider and is a major supplier of couplers to Hitachi UK with the majority of Hitachi excavators sold, in the UK, being fitted with a Hill Engineering Coupler.

With more than 20 years of innovations and knowledge, Hill Engineering produces some of the most cost-effective, durable, and safest products to the market. In 2014, Hill Engineering won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in innovation and were also recognised by Plantworx innovation with an award for engineering.
"Hill Engineering’s TEFRA range includes both TEFRA coupler and TEFRA tilt coupler, all with cast steel components to produce higher strength and lower weight. While our initial focus is on fitting TEFRA couplers and tilts to our new Hitachi excavators. Additionally, we carry a full range TEFRA couplers that can be fitted to almost any excavator in the market," says Johan.
TEFRA products have a dual locking system to ensure the highest level of safety, keeping the attachment permanently engaged in all orientations and applications.
A major safety feature of the TEFRA range is the Hill Smart Valve that ensures that the attach-and-release sequence of attachments can only be performed when the coupler is orientated toward the operator in a curled position. It also features the Reverse Hose System that ensures the attachment hoses don’t become entangled in excavator linkage which often caused major hose damage with other couplers.
The TEFRA TILT allows for up to 180 degrees rotation as well as the heavy-duty motor being self-lubricating and wear-free. The TEFRA Coupler range is available for excavators from three to 30 tonnes, while the TEFRA TILT is available for excavators three to 22 tonnes.
