Care needed at Northland work sites says NZTA
The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers to take care on Northland state highways during the current unsettled weather, especially at the following locations where work to upgrade sections of the network might involve speed restrictions and changes to the highway layout.
State Highway 1
- Whangarei: Improvements through the city from SH1/SH14 intersection to SH1/Selwyn Avenue
- Ohaeawai to Springs Flat: roadmarking
- Te Ahu Ahu Rd: construction of right turn bay
- McLeods Flat: guardrail improvements
- Mangamuka (Makene Rd): slip repair
- Watercutting at various sites
State Highway 12
- Maungaturoto township: improvements continue
- Water cutting at various sites
State Highway 14
- Mangarama: safety works at Paradise Rd
- Tangowahine Bridge: safety-related work
