E-Quip Engineering has been operating in heavy engineering, plant manufacture, and repair sector since its inception in 2007

E-Quip Engineering Ltd (E-Quip) is a locally owned and operated Greymouth engineering company, based at 42 Jacks Road, South Beach, Greymouth.

Operating since July 2007, the business employs 27 staff and has been operating in heavy engineering, plant manufacture, and repair sector since inception. The company undertakes work for a wide base of clients, including those involved in mining, construction, farming, forestry, and road transport sectors. Additionally, E-Quip has a wide customer base of general contractors and miscellaneous customers.

Along with the work E-Quip carries out in heavy plant engineering, structural steelwork fabrication and erection, mining plant manufacture, and on-site mining maintenance, they are also well-known as a manufacturer of excavator attachments and components, including E-Quip buckets, root rakes, hardened steel bushes and pins, and excavator ROPS frames, with more than 850 manufactured to date.

The business provides full repair and maintenance facilities, frequently working on a wide range of machinery from excavators, dozers, trucks, trailers, and mining plant. Set up to undertake portable line boring, E-Quip also has a full hydraulic ram servicing facility, from seal fitting to barrel and spear replacement.

The company has 20 tradespeople and apprentices working on the floor, with support from several clerical staff. Many of the staff have experience working in New Zealand and overseas on heavy machinery and mining equipment. The company is also known for its significant knowledge of constructing gold recovery plants for local and export markets, which has been gained over many years.

E-Quip Engineering is a significant contributor to the Greymouth economy.
