Terex Ecotec’s new high-speed shredder is designed to be the ideal machine for wood processing and green waste shredding. Since Terex Ecotec was established in 2014, the product line has grown rapidly.

The 105,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Derry, Northern Ireland supports the manufacture and design of ongoing innovative world-class range of equipment.

Product Focus: Ecotec TBG 530T

MSC already offers a comprehensive portfolio, recently expanding its range of mobile equipment with the launch of the Ecotec TBG 530T. A robust track-mounted high-speed shredder, the TBG 530T is ideal for medium-scale producers requiring an accurate and consistent end product.

"The addition of the TBG 530T will further enhance an already significant range of products, aiding MSC in offering the complete package solutions particularly suited to waste wood processing and green waste shredding," says Dan Meikle, MSC general manager.

Robust design

At the heart of the machine is the 1100mm diameter x 1490mm wide-swinging hammer rotor. The robust, direct-drive rotor rotates at 1000rpm and incorporates 30 up-swinging hammers.

A wide selection of hammer designs and interchangeable screens are available, allowing the machine to be configured to suit ever-changing product requirements. "Ecotec’s product range has rapidly expanded to meet both market and customer needs. With these latest offerings, they continue to strive to remain at the forefront of the recycling equipment market," says Andy. 

Optimised shredding and material build-up prevention

The Ecotec TBG 530T also benefits from the added protection of a screen kickback system. Should an unshreddable object enter the shredding chamber, the screen will release, allowing the material to quickly pass through, reducing the risk of accidental damage.

Easy maintenance

Whether performing daily checks or carrying out maintenance, the TBG 530T offers service access to all key areas of the machine. The electric/hydraulic raise/lower of the screen and interlocked chamber access door allow the rotor and anvil to be inspected with ease.

"Terex has really focused on efficiency, serviceability and maintenance access when designing this machine. It has amazing access to all key areas of the machine," says Dan.

Adaptability

Processed material is removed from the machine via a modular product conveyor with a discharge height of 4.6 metres. The conveyor also lowers to ground level for inspection and maintenance.

An optional overband magnet with hydraulic height adjustment can be fitted to remove ferrous metals from the product. "It’s important that we offer high-quality, robust, and reliable equipment such as the TBG 530T.
