We asked readers to vote for their favourite machine from a list of the 20 machines we tested during 2012.

Top machine competition

The competition was heavily subscribed with votes and the lead changed hands quite a few times. In the end, only a few votes separated the top two machines.

The winning machine is the Vermeer S800TX mini skid steer loader, tested by our Editor in March 2012 (issue 220).

Second place went to the Sumitomo SH135X-3B excavator, tested by Tim Dittmer in October 2012 (issue 227).

Both of these machines are distributed in New Zealand by AB Equipment.

Congratulations to all the entries and thanks to the many readers that voted for their favourite machine of 2012.
