SuperTyre in Christchurch goes big
SuperTyre opens a new purpose-built facility in Christchurch after outgrowing their previous premises
Established in 2011, the business has grown significantly in the commercial tyre industry and they put that down to the fact that they see themselves as truck people.
"We’re more a part of the trucking industry than the tyre industry. While we know tyres, it’s trucks that we’re passionate about," says SuperTyre company director Dayne Drummond.
The latest addition to the expanding business has been the construction of a brand-new commercial tyre service facility in Establishment Drive, Hornby, and the opening of the branch saw customers and officials gather to celebrate.
"Nick Leggett, CEO of the Road Transport Forum, came along, and it was great for him to get a first-hand understanding of suppliers such as us that support the transport industry," says Dayne.
Customers also took time out of their busy schedules and their attendance at the event helped the SuperTyre team showcase not only the size of the new large facility but also the yard space available for large trucks to manoeuvre.
"We’ve tried to design everything to make it as easy as possible for drivers so they can get in and out as quickly as possible, as we understand time is money," says Dayne.
The new Christchurch facility is part of a network of four branches with others located in Nelson, Blenheim, and Auckland.
