What sets Foton apart from other light-duty truck brands is the engine. They have the onlylight-duty truck range in New Zealand powered by Cummins. FNZ’s backed up with a nationwide dealer network to support the product.

One of the key things they wanted to achieve was to make sure that not only was the product correctly designed for New Zealand but also that as they ticked each box in its development, it delivered in quality and reliability for its customers.

Since re-launching the Foton Aumark 18 months ago, they’ve had a number of existing customers with repeat purchases.

While on the surface, the trucks look similar, the latest Aumark C EU5 version has received numerous upgrades, with the local distributor doing a lot of work with Foton to make sure the quality and spec is what a New Zealand truck buyer expects.

The trucks feature a ZF six-speed gearbox

There are two variants designed to be driven on a car licence. The big one in the range—the BJ1099—has a GVM of 8995kg sitting right at the top of the 6-9T RUC weight band.

With 500Nm torque available, a ZF six-speed gearbox, and a full air brake ‘Wabco’ system, they have made sure that the Aumark C BJ1099 has the power and credentials to handle the GVM.

The latest model has received numerous upgrades

FNZ have also developed what they are calling their ‘job ready’ range of trucks so customers can buy a truck today and start work tomorrow. At launch, they had flat decks available, with GVM from 5650kg and pricing from $29,995 plus GST and ORC.

The box body model has now been added to the range and is available from $39,995 plus GST and ORC (5650 to 8995kg GVM) with or without tail lifts.
