Ritchie Bros. yard in NZ hosts successful IronPlanet auction


The auction attracted a high number of attendees, with 370,000 sessions and 240,000 users from around the world

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, a global leader in asset management and disposition, held a successful IronPlanet auction on 13 April 2023, at its new yard in New Zealand located at 25b Tegal Road, Drury.

The auction attracted a high number of attendees, with 370,000 sessions and 240,000 users from around the world, including the top five bidding countries: New Zealand, Australia, the US, Fiji, and Vietnam.

A total of 2539 registered bidders participated in the auction, generating more than one million pageviews, demonstrating the strong demand for high-quality machinery in the region.

Among the highlights of the auction were a 2019 Cat 323 hydraulic excavator, a 2018 Kenworth T909 prime mover, and a 2018 Hitachi ZX210-6 excavator. The top-selling items also included a 2016 Kenworth T409 6x4, which sold for $203,000, a 2018 DAF CF85.410 8x4, which sold for $150,000, a 2013 Sandvik QJ241, which sold for $180,000, a 2021 Bomag BW213D-5, which sold for $150,000, and a 2018 Hyundai Robex 210LC-9, which sold for $80,000.
