Youngman Richardson & Co Ltd appoints Ed Richardson as the new managing director

In a recent restructure within its leadership group, Youngman Richardson & Co Ltd appointed Ed Richardson as the new managing director.  Effective immediately, Ed takes over from Tony Fairfield, who will continue as chairman of the company.

The change of leadership has been three years in the planning, with both Tony and Ed working towards the transition during that time. The company has other changes underway, including conversion of the warehouse into a fully digital operation, the acquisition of the manufacturing of Abel Mixers Ltd, and the construction of a purpose-built new branch in Wellington.

Established in 1981 by Bob Youngman and Tim Richardson, the company has come a long way since then. As one of the leading suppliers of quality products to the hire and construction industries throughout New Zealand, this latest move will be seen as a strong commitment towards future-proofing the company.
