There are two generations who don’t know the Fonz, but those of us old enough to remember the leather jacket-wearing biker of Happy Days television show phenomenon shake our heads sadly at what recent youth missed out on.

Fonz was the ultimate in cool with an ego to match and had a worldwide following, but actor Henry Winkler spent many years trying to shake off the character. He gives an honest insight into the world of actors and dives deep with personal stories of family and friends. Is it good? Aaaayyy!

This World War II fictional account follows a soldier of the Māori Battalion who gets caught behind enemy lines in Crete and has to make his way back, eventually to his home in New Zealand.

While that may sound like a straightforward tale, it’s the backstory and side stories that bring everything together. The author used diaries, old letters, and guidance from
Māori leaders to make the text both fascinating and believable.

This book was so good that I got sidetracked buying Rocket Lab shares and forgot to write a review for a few months. It follows a number of small rocket companies that are vying for their share of the soon-to-be-huge space business market.

The stories dive into the lives of the entrepreneurs and give a good idea of how they tick and operate their businesses, with the most solid one being a good ol’ Kiwi. I love it when others underestimate us. Definitely worth a purchase.
