Hino Distributors invited its customers and a number of media personnel to their Auckland premises to climb in the cabs of their latest models

To celebrate the launch of its brand-new re-engineered—from the inside out—500 Series trucks, Hino Distributors invited its customers and a number of media personnel to their Auckland premises to climb in the cabs of their latest models.

Hino Distributors (NZ) Ltd general manager, Darren Salt, presented three variants of the 500 Series: FC, FD, and FE mid-range trucks.

Darren described the new vehicles as being "created to provide the ultimate truck driving experience", and if that sounds a little too much like a sales pitch, the comment appears to be, no exaggeration.

The new Hino Series boasts increased safety levels, performance, and efficiency.  Hino says the new model is equipped with all the safety features you’d expect to find in an executive car, such as Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection and ‘Safety Eye’ and Autonomous Energy Braking. The new line-up also features DPR and new SCR emissions system combine with an AdBlue exhaust after-treatment. But one of the most striking features is the new interior and exterior cab design. The redesigned cab, in hues of black and brown, can offer better functionality and comfort while the exterior features a new grill design.

The company says there is  a lot more to the new Hino 500 Series. Read more about it an upcoming issue. Also, be sure to check out our video and more photos from the event on Facebook and dealsonwheels.co.nz.
