Take a look back at some of the classic trucks Tuapeka Transport has owned over the years, including Mack, Isuzu, and others.
Back in the 80s and 90s, Tuapeka Transport from Lawrence in Central Otago was renowned for its outstanding fleet of Mack trucks. Most models of the Mack brand graced the Tuapeka livery over the years; however, the ultraliner model became the mainstay of its fleet and at its peak numbers, would have arguably had one of the biggest fleets of ultraliners in the entire country.
Tuapeka Transport historically specialised in the rural and logging sectors, and became heavily involved in the dairy industry when Dynes Transport became a major shareholder in the company. The Dynes business model was adopted and stock crates were (and still are) swapped for milk tankers and curtainsiders during the busy dairy season each year.
Tuapeka Transport is now part of the Road Transport Logistics group, compromising five transport companies of which the Dynes Group remains major shareholders.
