UD Trucks NZ appoints new GM

Sime Darby Commercial NZ has appointed Colin Muir to the position of general manager for UD Trucks NZ

The appointment was made following on from the 20-year tenure of outgoing general manager John Gerbich.

Colin built a career in the heavy commercial sector over the past 24 years in both the UK and New Zealand. Previously, he was general manager for competing Isuzu Trucks NZ and prior to taking up his latest position was general manager for heavy equipment supplier, AdvanceQuip. 

"We’re delighted to welcome Colin into the UD Trucks team. He brings a unique depth of experience across all aspects of building a successful heavy commercial business," says Sime Darby Commercial Sales NZ general manager Michael Doeg.

"John has championed the UD brand for three decades as national sales manager and then general manager. We’d like to acknowledge his exceptional service."

Colin will work with John over the coming weeks to ensure there’s a seamless handover, enabling customers and staff to work through an easy transition.
