The event, scheduled for 13 and 14 March 2024, is the New Zealand Trucking Industry’s premier conference. Organised by the New Zealand Trucking Association and National Road Carriers, which together represent more than 3000 heavy vehicle operators, the conference aims to enhance the transport and logistics industry and showcase advancements in technology, maintenance, and safety.

The conference and exhibition are also supported by a collaborative group comprising The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Ground Spread NZ, Heavy Haulage Association, and the Crane Association of New Zealand, endorsing its innovative and modern approach.

The must-attend event will be held at the magnificent Te Pae Convention Centre. Delegates will be able to network with industry movers and shakers to gain genuine insights into the state of the sector and see the unveiling of cutting-edge technologies for the trucking industry.

The conference and exhibition is inspired by the ATA | TMC Conference run every year in Melbourne, Australia and the Brisbane Truck Show exhibition, bringing together business owners, senior management, professionals, mechanics, technicians, fleet managers, technical fleet professionals, health and safety managers, manufacturers, truck distributors, and industry suppliers from across the country.

The spectacular indoor exhibition space at Te Pae is the perfect venue for the conference and exhibition. It aims to facilitate sector-specific discussions, enabling industry professionals to address pertinent issues.

Interactive sessions will gather valuable insights to shape a comprehensive workforce strategy. "We’re delighted to have the support of Teletrac Navman as the naming rights sponsor for the event," says David Boyce, NTA CEO.

Teletrac Navman is a global leader in providing advanced telematics solutions for fleet and asset management. With a focus on leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and compliance, Teletrac Navman empowers businesses across various industries to achieve their goals.

Teletrac Navman has long driven innovation and empowerment in the transport sector through its GPS fleet tracking and telematics technology and is committed to fostering collective growth in the New Zealand transport industry.

Three new awards will be presented during the conference awards and networking evening, which will take place on Wednesday, 13 March, with nominations opening soon.

Another popular session will be ‘On the Couch with Dave McCoid’ (NZ Trucking magazine) based on a Graeme Norton-style interview with companies that are doing some great things. This promises to be both entertaining and inspiring, offering a chance to hear real-life stories.

NTA and NRC are proposing the conference and exhibition become a biennial event, instead of multiple small events throughout the year. This approach allows attendees to better plan and budget for the event.

The Trucking Industry Show, which has grown significantly since the first show in 2014, will be held in alternate years. Planning is already underway, and TMC Trailers have renewed their naming sponsorship for the event.
