Teleo’s system can be retrofitted to any make and model of machine and includes the company’s proprietary software, a remote command centre to operate the equipment, and a robust mesh network to enable two-way communication between the command centre and machines.

The kit incorporates state-of-the-art sensors, including high dynamic range cameras that deliver high-definition visibility and video footage both day and night.

"With ongoing labour and skills shortages in the construction sector, there’s more work to be done than there are people to do it," says Martin Nix, CEO of Position Partners.

"Automation and remote-control solutions from Teleo will help our customers to increase productivity, with one operator capable of operating multiple machines in a safer, more comfortable environment," he adds.

Teleo’s technology enables an operator to control multiple machines at multiple sites from a single station

Once a machine is retrofitted with Teleo’s technology, a skilled operator can control multiple machines, at multiple sites, from a single station. The technology brings the operator experience to the remote command centre by bringing the sound and feel of the machine into the room as if they were operating it in person.

With more than 30 years of experience fitting machine control solutions to all makes and models of heavy earthmoving equipment, Position Partners says they are well suited to deploy Teleo technology as the latest innovation for the construction and material moving sector.

Position Partners will offer the full Teleo solution to customers and support sales, installation, and training in all countries the company operates in, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

"We’re delighted to announce our agreement with Position Partners. Their skilled team will ensure the best outcomes for our mutual customers as they deploy Teleo’s cutting-edge supervised autonomy solution," says Vinay Shet, Co-founder and CEO of Teleo.

Position Partners says the Teleo system introduces a host of benefits to customers, including:

  • Attracting more operators: By transitioning these roles from the field to a remote command centre, Teleo is creating a safe and comfortable work environment. This makes the role of the operator more attractive to the next generation, making it easier to recruit, train, and deploy skilled employees while also making the job more accessible.
  • Increasing site productivity: Multiple machines, across multiple sites, can be controlled simultaneously by one operator. Productivity is increased by letting operators virtually switch between machines, reducing downtime between breaks and shift changes on large sites.
  • Enhancing operational visibility: With Teleo Insite — the company’s data and analytics platform — Teleo offers customers full visibility into daily operations, including a live operating view, camera recordings, operations statistics, and more. With the data, customers can get ahead of the curve and continuously improve job site productivity.
  • Increasing safety: Working from the protected environment of the remote command centre, operators are removed from harm’s way, keeping them safe and productive. It also reduces the long-term effects of exposure to harsh elements, such as machine vibration, noise, and particulate matter.
