The Dual Optical Sensor Camera features for the first time on any Isuzu truck and is designed to detect three-dimensional objects at close range

The distributor says the light truck is more specification-rich than ever, with a suite of new safety features headlining updates available on the new model.

Furthermore, they say select models in the range now feature a new additional warranty cover, taking the total warranty period to five-year/250,000km, at no extra cost, providing certain terms and conditions are met.

"The new N Series is a significant step forward for Isuzu Trucks," says Dave Ballantyne, general manager of Isuzu Trucks New Zealand.

"It represents the safest range of Isuzu trucks ever available to our customers, and the new additional warranty enhances peace of mind and offers substantial benefits from a cost-of-business perspective."

The N Series features a number of new-to-Isuzu safety features under the umbrella of the Isuzu Intelligent Safety Suite. This includes the ADAS package—Advanced Driver Assistance Systems—consisting of Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC), Advance Emergency Brake system (AEBS), Distance Warning System (DWS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), as well as Hill Start Assist on some models.

Key to the Isuzu ADAS system is a dash-mounted Dual Optical Sensor Camera, the very first time it features on any Isuzu truck. It’s designed to detect three-dimensional objects at close range.

There are three reliable powertrain options: three-litre four-cylinder and a pair of 5.2-litre four-cylinder engines for two-wheel and four-wheel drive applications. None of the engines require AdBlue and neither of the larger capacity engines need regeneration.

New automatic LED low-beam headlights further enhance the all-round experience and feature a levelling function.

"These updates are the first of many that will appear across a number of forthcoming models in the Isuzu truck range," says Dave.
