Isuzu expands tipper range

Isuzu recently announced the impending arrival of a new model that will expand its successful CYZ tipper range

The new addition is a 530hp 6X4 tipper and is the first Isuzu model, which places the brand in the 500+ horsepower segment of the market.

"This part of the market is currently shared between the US and European brands, so it’s fantastic we now have an offering in this segment available for loyal Isuzu customers," said the National Sales Manager of Isuzu New Zealand, Dave Ballantyne.

"The new model can’t come soon enough, as there is pent-up demand for new Isuzu product as the market for bulk tipper’s is very strong, driven by the growth in infrastructure work around the country."

Isuzu says the arrival of the new 6X4 means they are the only Japanese marque in the 500-horsepower plus segment.

The new model features Magnetic Driveline Retarder, alloy wheels, a heavy-duty front axle and what Isuzu New Zealand says is their renowned low cost of ownership and all-round fit-for-purpose durability.

"Pricing for the new model will be announced closer to its arrival in New Zealand, which is anticipated to be early 2018," said Mr Ballantyne.

"In the meantime, I’d strongly encourage anyone interested in this and other Isuzu product to get in touch with their nearest authorised Isuzu dealer to arrange a viewing opportunity."
