Tesla to unveil electric truck today

The electric carmaker Tesla plans to unveil an electric semi truck today from its design studio in Hawthorne, California. The reveal will be live-streamed online.

There has been speculation and opinion about Tesla’s new fully-electric heavy vehicle over the last few months, following Elon Musk’s announcement earlier in 2017.

With an expected range of around 300 miles and possible self-driving capabilities, Tesla’s new release may not cause alarm bells to ring for manufacturers of long-distance truck brands, but is sure to be of very high interest to the trucking community.
