The Transport and Heavy Equipement EXPO (THE Expo) returns this year from 2 to 4 March

The much-anticipated Transport and Heavy Equipment Expo (THE Expo) is returning to Mystery Creek Events Centre from 2 to 4 March. Held every four years, the popular event brings transport, heavy equipment, construction, contracting, forestry, logistics, and agriculture together on more than 45,000m2 of dedicated space just south of Hamilton.

Organisers say The Expo is the only all-encompassing transport and heavy equipment industry event in New Zealand, collectively endorsed by the Motor Industry Association, NZ Truck-Trailer Manufacturer's Federation and NZ Equipment Suppliers Association. They say that a dedicated demonstration zone, world-class facilities, and extensive free on-site parking will be providing a near-perfect environment to discover the latest technologies and product developments, and to meet with representatives from across a broad spectrum of trades.

The Show n' Shine will be returning to THE Expo, giving drivers the opportunity to showcase their vehicle while competing for some impressive prizes.

Bragging rights will be on the line in the hunt for the ultimate champion in each of the six categories: curtain siders, flat decks and tractor units, tankers, tippers, livestock and loggers, classic trucks, and the overall supreme winner.

The public will also get to have their say in the People's Choice Award decided by visitor votes on the day. Organisers say there is still time to enter, and anyone interested should check out theexpo.co.nz for more information.

Contrasting the modern trucks will be a large collection of classic and vintage trucks. Coordinated with the assistance of the Northern Classic Commercials Club, the display celebrates trucking milestones over the decades and includes vehicles owned by club members of the Northern Classics Commercials Club and from other classic vehicle clubs from around New Zealand.

Entry to THE Expo is free to those working in the transport, logistics, heavy equipment, forestry, construction, and quarry and mining industries.

Registration for a free ticket is available at theexpo.co.nz or call 0800 004 444.
