Stoke School PTA were proud to host the Stoke School Market & Truck Show for the 7th year running, held at the A & P Showgrounds in Lower Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson

Saturday, 9 November was the day for the 2019 Nelson Truck Show, which incorporated a local market, food stalls, and entertainment throughout the day. The annual event is run by the Stoke School PTA headed by long-term organiser Mel Edwards.

There are only two prize categories at the show: Driver’s Choice and People’s Choice. This year, the Driver’s Choice winner was Waimea Heavy Haulage’s awesome T909 Kenworth, with Willie Simpsons Mack Wrecker and Brendan ‘Woody’ Ward’s W900L Kenworth taking out second equal.

Woody’s Destination Trucking W900L also won first place in the People’s Choice category and Willie Simpson's Mack was runner-up. Third place went to K&M Trucking’s stunning Peterbilt tractor unit. Unfortunately, overcast conditions with periodic rain did put a bit of a dampener on proceedings, but in spite of the weather, the truck show and market was still a success and maintained a real family day feeling.
