Sanland Equipment takes over NZ dealer role for Evoquip from MSC, expanding its mobile screening and crushing offering
Sanland Equipment has added another thread to their business after signing an agreement with Mobile Screening & Crushing (MSC) to take over dealer representation of the Terex EvoQuip brand of mobile screening and crushing equipment.
MSC remains active in the industry and is excited to increase their focus on the rapidly growing recycling sector, as the New Zealand dealer for Terex Ecotec. MSC will also continue to run its hire fleet of 10 machines, which includes a selection of Terex screens, crushers, shredders, and conveyors.
“With my retirement approaching, and Dan (general manager) preparing to take the helm of the business, we’ve made the strategic decision to streamline our operations and ensure a strong foundation for the future,” says MSC director Andy Meikle.

MSC has been selling screening and crushing equipment since 1995, and say they have placed over 270 machines in operation during that time. In New Zealand, they represented the EvoQuip brand of mobile crushers, screening plants and mobile conveyors and trommels. In addition to Terex Ecotec, they also currently hold the distributorship of Rotostar screening buckets, manufactured by U.K-based Lloyd Engineering.
Sanland says the EvoQuip mobile screeners and crushers will slot in well alongside the fixed and modular plants the company manufactures, its recently added service division, and comprehensive parts supply the company carries.
“We have worked alongside MSC mainly with the supply of parts,” says Sanland project engineer Max Sun. “They have been very sucessfull with the EvoQuip brand in New Zealand and have a high standard of care towards their customers, so we have similar values.”

The addition of MSC’s range of products will give Sanland the opportunity to offer customers a wider range of mobile equipment that the company could previously offer with EvoQuip supplying models to suit small operations through to those who require high production capabilities.
“We took on EvoQuip because it has the most fit-for-purpose machines for the New Zealand market and best performance for value, which fits with Sanland’s engineering-backed philosophy of using the most fit-for-purpose/best ROI solutions to the problem,” says Max.

EvoQuip is a standalone manufacturer that is part of a number of other well-known Terex-owned marques, such as Terex Ecotec, Finlay, Powerscreen, Canica, Cedarapids, CBI, MDS, Terex Washing Systems, Terex Jaques, ProStack and Magna.
As far as EvoQuip is concerned, it has a focus on several key industries: quarrying, recycling, contracting, civil construction and landscaping – so the brand is well placed to offer equipment solutions across a wide range of industries.
“For us, Sanland, it represents a significant investment, so obviously it’s important that we get it right and we believe that the addition of the EvoQuip brand to our business will ensure customers can experience the full life cycle of their equipment, from purchase through to servicing and parts supply from one source,” says Max.
“There are many EvoQuip machines operating in the New Zealand market, more than any other single brand, and its quality is proven under various industries and applications.”

EvoQuip has also been the best selling Terex machine in recent years.
“And Terex’s fleet management software allows remote fault diagnostic and support any time of the day. We can also monitor performance of machines to ensure they are providing maximised performance to their specific application,” says Max.
Throughout the dealership handover, MSC will be working closely with Sanland to ensure continued support for all customers with EvoQuip equipment.
“It’s important for existing EvoQuip owners to know that with our large stock of spare parts and service division, we can take care of all their needs from one place,” says Max.
