Sandvik says its new QI353 crusher is the most versatile mid-sized mobile impact crusher available on the market and is able to process up to 400 tonnes of rock per hour.

The impact crusher will be distributed through Porter Equipment, and the supplier says they expect the first of the new model into New Zealand later in the year.

The crusher design is said to offer greater capacity and a special feed arrangement to help reduce blockages. Sandvik says a key highlight is the new automation system that has simplified operation controls and total integration with Sandvik’s My Fleet telematics solution for remote monitoring of mobile crushing and screening equipment.

The machine will require 40% less hydraulic oil per service, and it benefits from extended oil replacement intervals. The Sandvik QI353 is said to consume up to 64% less oil over 10,000 hours of machine usage and its new fuel-efficient powerpack helps provide performance and cost-efficiency.

For operator safety, the crusher comes equipped with large platforms that provide safe access for servicing and maintenance. The new impact crusher is the first in the 3-Series third generation crusher range from Sandvik and is targeted at the quarry, recycling, and contractor market.
