Product release: new gen Volvo haulers

Volvo’s new generation of articulated haulers has arrived in NZ, bringing notable improvements in safety, operator comfort, and efficiency

A new generation of Volvo articulated haulers has touched down in New Zealand, bringing a leap forward in safety, productivity and operator comfort, says TDX, the exclusive dealer of Volvo Construction Equipment in New Zealand.
Several models are already in stock, and more are expected to arrive before the end of the year. For industries like quarrying, infrastructure and earthmoving, the timing couldn’t be better.

“This new line-up really shows Volvo’s commitment to evolution,” says Andrew Falloon, national Volvo product manager at TDX.

“We’ve seen how well the G-series has performed in New Zealand since 2016. These new machines push things even further in terms of payload, operator experience and overall efficiency.”

The new series includes a wide range of models from the A25 to the all-new A50, as well as the flagship A60. Several models are already in-country: the A35 through to the A50 are available now. The A25, A30, and A60 are due to arrive around the end of the year.

The upgraded operator interface houses all commonly used functions in a single intuitive screen

The new trucks all feature a freshly designed cab that delivers increased visibility for safer, more confident operating. This consistent upgrade across all models gives operators a clearer view of their surroundings, a valuable feature on New Zealand’s rugged worksites.

Equally noteworthy is the upgraded operator interface, which now houses all commonly used functions in a single intuitive screen. Designed with real-world operator feedback in mind, it allows users to access performance and control settings with less effort and greater precision.

The new trucks also boast increased payload capacities, translating into fewer trips, reduced fuel consumption and more productive shifts.

Brand new to the line-up is the Volvo A50, a machine that fills a crucial gap between the A45 and the larger A60. With high payload capability and a slightly more compact profile, it’s well suited to New Zealand operators needing volume and power without sacrificing agility.

The trucks are built with the operator in mind

“The A50 is an exciting addition as it’s a truck that offers high capacity, but in a package that we think could work well on New Zealand’s more variable and often tighter job sites,” says Andrew.

Now, with updates focused on safety, environmental care and user comfort, Volvo is looking to reinforce its position at the forefront of heavy equipment innovation.

Kiwi operators can count on ongoing support, servicing, and advice – wherever the job takes them, thanks to TDX’s extensive regional branch network.

“These trucks are built to work, built to last, and built with the operator in mind,” Andrew says. “It’s a new era for hauling in New Zealand – and we’re proud to be bringing it to life.”
