Terex mobile conveyors are reshaping material handling, with Stevens Group bringing high-capacity stackers like the CT65 and CT80 to sites across NZ
Terex mobile conveyors (also known as stackers) are a cost-effective and flexible way to transport material at production sites, being widely used in aggregate, recycling, demolition and mining operations.
The units are designed to handle large volumes of materials efficiently and quickly, reducing labour and time associated with material handling, leading to overall operational efficiency and productivity gains.
Stockpiling conveyors are designed to improve productivity and mobility whilst minimising operator costs. Stevens Group says their conveying solutions range offers one of the most cost effective and efficient way of stockpiling or transferring material on the market today.
Powerscreen

Right: Powerscreen CT80 tracked conveyor
The Powerscreen founders pioneered the concept of mobile screening by taking the machines to the quarry face rather than the expensive process of moving the material to the machine. Today, the Terex-owned Powerscreen brand is a leading provider of mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment across the globe.
Powerscreen supplies a range of flexible and versatile mobile conveyors that are designed to work in conjunction with the entire range of crushing and screening equipment. They are designed to cope with virtually all applications, from light duty screened material through to jaw crusher delivered applications.
Conveying benefits

Greater stockpiling capacity: The ability to create much larger and more efficient stockpiles
Better site safety: Use of conveyors minimises traffic on sites therefore reducing site accidents involving manoeuvring or operating vehicles and removes the need for continuous movement across site by wheeled loaders
Environmental: Reduced noise, dust and exhaust emissions levels by reduced site movement/hauling
Less onsite equipment: Reduces dependency on and use of auxiliary equipment onsite for transfer or stockpiling
Reduces operating costs: Conveyors have minimal maintenance, running costs and are self-operating
Efficient: Stacking conveyors operate at 100% efficiency during every hour of operation, ensuring maximum materials are processed
Mobility: Highly portable and flexible. Move as needed and easily adjustable for changing process needs – tracked units allow excellent on-site manoeuvrability
Improved production capacity: Operators are freed up to keep screens and/or crushers continually fed, which results with materials processing capacity being maximised
Eliminates multiple handling of material: Prevent the compaction and contamination, which typically occurs when using loaders and trucks
Quality of product: Aids elimination of segregation, compaction, and contamination of processed material
Improve bulk handling efficiency
The range of high-capacity stackers include the 65ft and 80ft track mobile conveyors CT65 and CT80.

Standard features
- Up to 500 tonnes per hour capacity
- Steel-lined feedboot as standard providing extended wear life
- Hydraulic angle adjustment from 0° to 28° for easy plant integration. Max. discharge height: CT65 @ 28° = 9.45m, CT80 @ 25° = 10.41m
- Dual-speed tracks for quick and controlled deployment
Optional features
- Feed boot extension options – extension with wear plate liners to increase the target zone and reduce maintenance
- High spec head drum scraper – for effective belt cleaning resulting in fewer breakdowns, lower operating costs and increased production
- Conveyor under guarding – up to mid-point for safety
- Full length skirting – to reduce product getting under the belt and damaging it
- Twin drives – on conveyor drum for power in even the highest load applications
Customer focused
The material handling range of equipment offers a wide range of tracked stackers and conveyors to suit specific material handling requirements.
Stevens Group says they work with the customer, offering solutions that meet the differing requirements of each material handling operation. Throughput, discharge heights, condition of terrain, frequency of repositioning, are all factors taken into account when determining what solution meets all of a customer’s requirements.
