Sterling SG40 pile driver
It has been all praise from East Coast-based Kuru Contracting and their managing director Ricky Kuru. They have been blown away with the performance of their new Sterling SG40, which they have mounted onto a CAT 336.
“We love it,” says Ricky. “Number one: it provides us with a safer and seamless one man-one machine operation, that grabs the posts, stands them up and then puts them in the ground. Then the vibratory action means that it’s very quiet, making it perfect for jobs where noise restrictions apply. On top of that, it has GPS positioning, so no more tags are needed on our sites.”
Sterling Technology is a global leader in pile driver and auto tilt hammer innovation and features four exceptional ranges:
- Sterling Multi-Side Grip Pile Driver
- Sterling W-Side Grip W Pile Driver
- Sterling Auto Tilt Hammer
- Standard Pile Driver
Each product represents what the company describes as the pinnacle of advanced technology, designed to provide timesaving solutions for pile handling applications.
The Sterling SG40 is a high-frequency, excavator-mounted side grip vibratory pile driver designed for driving and extracting various piles, including sheet piles, H-piles, and tubes. Designed for 35-52 tonne excavators, it is particularly suited for deep foundation work in confined spaces or urban environments where traditional piling rigs cannot operate.
The Sterling SG40 features include interchangeable clamp options to suit a variety of piles and beams, including a round pile clamp (S) for round piles sized 150mm to 350mm, a standard clamp for sheet piles and H beams, and a round pile clamp (L) for round piles sized 300mm to 500mm. The attachment’s versatility ensures precise and reliable performance for any construction or engineering project.
