Penske Australia & NZ new appointment

Penske AU and NZ announced the appointment of Gary Bone as executive general manager of its on-highway division

The annoucement comes following the resignation of Craig Lee, who left the company in June after more than 11 years with the business.

Gary joined Penske in early 2025 as general manager of eastern operations, overseeing the company’s New South Wales and Queensland activities across both on- and off-highway sectors. Prior to joining Penske, he held senior leadership positions with Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks.

Craig departs to take up a leadership role with a privately owned road transport business. During his tenure at Penske, he held a number of senior management positions and most recently led the company’s wholesale and retail truck operations.

In his new role, Gary will oversee truck and bus retail and fleet sales, OEM relationships, aftersales operations, dealer development and vehicle processing activities, including the company’s facility at Wacol in Queensland.
