Mobile Screening & Crushing (MSC) has gained a sizeable addition to its hire fleet recently with the delivery of a new Terex EvoQuip Cobra 230R Impactor

As with its existing hire fleet, the 230R Impactor will be available for long- or short-term dry hire as well as one- to five-year lease options.

Finishing crusher

This finishing crusher is a closed circuit version of the EvoQuip Cobra 230 and incorporates an 8ft x 4ft post screen to ensure the required product specification is achieved, with crushed oversize material being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled separately to one side.

Optimal material flow

The Cobra 230R comes with two independent hydraulic controlled aprons to optimise material throughput and is designed so that as material flows through the machine, each section increases in width.

The manufacturers say it’s built with hydraulic overload protection as standard and has excellent under crusher clearance in addition to the ability to lower the product conveyor while running should a blockage occur.

Cobra 230R Impact Crusher

The 230R incorporates the Terex CR004 impact chamber with a crusher inlet opening of 860mm x 720mm. Feed size specs are 400mm/700mm diagonally or 750x450x200mm slab. It also features the ability to quickly detach the complete afterscreen system to convert the machine to an impactor only, if required.

High-performing efficiency

The Cobra 203R uses a fuel-efficient and high-performing direct drive system to power the impact crusher. This, along with the two independent hydraulic controlled aprons, allows the operator to optimise the material throughput and reduction while ensuring the best fuel efficiency, the manufacturers say.

Ease of use

Other features include quick set-up time, intuitive control system, two-button start-up, ease of setting adjustments (no tools), and being able to track the machine without stopping the crusher.
