New Isuzu High-Tech N and F Series

Isuzu’s next-generation N and F Series trucks arrive in NZ from August 2025, featuring Euro VI engines, enhanced safety tech, and new powertrains

The next-generation Isuzu N and F Series trucks will arrive in New Zealand from August, delivering advanced safety, new powertrains, and Euro VI emissions compliance, Isuzu New Zealand says.

Following a strong showing at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show, Isuzu New Zealand has confirmed that the all-new Isuzu N and F Series light and medium-duty truck ranges will begin arriving in dealerships from August 2025.

The trucks feature significant advancements in emissions compliance, safety, and performance, the new models representing the latest evolution of Isuzu’s well-respected truck platform.

Headlining the update is the introduction of Euro VI and pPNLT emissions-compliant powertrains, paired with all-new cab designs, advanced safety technology, and new engine and transmission combinations tailored to the diverse needs of Kiwi operators.

“These next-generation models represent the most advanced trucks we’ve ever brought to market,” says David Ballantyne, general manager, Isuzu New Zealand.

The new F Series range is headlined by the introduction of the powerful DB6A six-cylinder engine, jointly developed by Isuzu and Cummins and assembled at Isuzu’s Tochigi engine plant in Japan. Delivering up to 300PS, the engine brings increased torque, Euro VI compliance, and features an integrated engine head compression brake for enhanced retarding power.

Additionally, the new F Series models boast a redesigned cab focused on improved ergonomics, Bi-LED headlights with DRL and Adaptive Driving Beam, and a higher level of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Most models will also be equipped with a full air EBS disc brake system, providing better braking performance and reduced maintenance needs.

The new N Series line-up sees an expanded range of 31 variants, including new engine ratings and the introduction of a nine-speed two-pedal Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) in select models, offering enhanced drivability, particularly in urban delivery settings. The new cab chassis design incorporates Isuzu’s IMAC-S design concept, with enhanced comfort, and modern ergonomics.

Across both the N and F Series, safety has taken a leap forward, with the new models offering an enhanced suite of ADAS features, including Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control, depending on the model.

The first models to arrive in New Zealand from August will be the six-cylinder F Series, with additional F Series and N Series variants to follow progressively throughout the remainder of 2025.

“Our combined range of N and F Series trucks will offer customers a choice of 60 models initially and dealers are now taking orders for F Series, with N Series to follow shortly, says David.

“These are workhorses designed for modern business needs – reliable, efficient, and future-ready.”
