Kobelco has announced the appointment of Colin Muir as its new general manager for New Zealand, effective 1 July 2025.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Colin has called New Zealand home since 2002 and holds dual UK/NZ citizenship. He brings with him more than two decades of experience in the heavy commercial business-to-business sector, having held senior leadership roles with prominent industry names such as Caterpillar, Isuzu Trucks, Advancequip, and most recently, UD Trucks New Zealand, where he served as general manager.
Colin’s deep understanding of the machinery and transport industries, coupled with a proven record in business development and strategic leadership, positions him well to lead Kobelco’s operations during a time of continued growth and opportunity in the New Zealand market.
“Kobelco is a respected name in construction equipment, and I’m excited to join the team at a time when the industry is evolving rapidly,” Colin says.
