Limited numbers of the V8 remain in showrooms before the updated model arrives in the first half of 2025
The final RAM 1500 pick-up powered by the iconic HEMI V8 recently rolled off the Melbourne production line ahead of a switch to a turbocharged six-cylinder petrol power model.
The RAM 1500 Limited is the 28,495th HEMI V8 across both the previous DS Series and current DT Series to be remanufactured from left-hand-drive to right-hand-drive by RAM Trucks Australia and New Zealand, with the business saying it is the only RAM distributor in Australia and New Zealand with full factory backing.
From the start of the production line to the finish, it takes approximately 14 hours for more than 200 workers to complete the remanufacturing process of each vehicle, using more than 400 locally engineered parts manufactured to factory quality.
