The third biannual Transfleet Trailers/Allied Petroleum Bombay Charity Truck Show 2025 edition didn’t disappoint
With more than 450 trucks on site, including some previously well-hidden classic gems, the community came out in force and battled the heat to enjoy everything on show.
The organising team managed the influx of trucks with different entry points, so once 10am came around everything was all in order ready to go.
Rows upon rows of immaculately presented trucks from as far away as Taranaki, Marlborough, Northland and greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions mixed in with the Auckland metro city latte lot and this set the tone for what the show was about – a casual but professional get together of all those in the trucking industry at one spot enjoying the precious time not working.
The only congestion during the day was the entry to the food trucks and bar.
Trade stands were there-a-plenty again and it was a great opportunity to catch up with customers and suppliers post-2024 and Christmas holidays to hear all about the fishing trips.
Stories from drivers who worked late on Friday and spent all night and early hours of Saturday morning cleaning their trucks were common. A few lucky ones managed to keep trucks inside for the past couple of weeks in anticipation of the event.
Plenty of new trucks were held back for the show and it was great to see the professionalism on display.
As they count the gold coins (estimated to have raised over $120,000), not only were the local charities a winner, but the whole industry, which is exactly what is needed. Roll on 2027.
