The DeSite 230-volt electric vibrating screening units are said to be one of NZ's most efficient and affordable ways to screen topsoil, compost, sand, and gravel
Used in landscaping, subdivision operations, on farms, by soil and aggregate suppliers, and for general contracting, they are cost effective and built tough to USA construction standards.
Made to generate very good returns on investment and designed in Canada, DeSite screens are now available in New Zealand in three model sizes, priced from $8360 to $20,849 excluding GST.
The mid-size DeSite SLG78VF-MkV with a 2200mm widescreen deck is the manufacturer’s most popular model, with unique innovative features:
- Tilting screen deck on cantilevered coil-over-spring suspension pivoting from adjustable static 45 degrees for high moisture feed to 30 degrees for sand, gravel and low moisture soil
- Screen deck can be temporarily flattened with the machine bucket while feeding the screen and to shake off sluggish material making screening faster and more productive
- Feed deflection system funnels material on top of the screen speeding up the bucket feed. The feeder automatically rotates forward and upward allowing oversize material to pass under the deflector, over the deck and into oversize pile avoiding jamming.
- Mesh can be changed in 10 minutes for re-screening oversize – great for drainage metal or sub-base material for roading. Machines come standard with durable 20x100mm mesh from 65mn steel. Multiple mesh sizes ex stock available from 6-100mm square and 6-10mm elongated for fine soil and other materials. New Zealand customised screen manufacture also available.
- Removable riser boxes give more capacity and productivity
- Easy portability around work sites using bucket lift extensions in the fork pockets and very quiet operation for work within urban areas
- With just two grease points to service, maintenance is easy. Requires only a 1kva or 1200w generator, or plug into mains
- Feed with skid steers, diggers, wheel loaders or tractors with buckets up to 1980mm wide. Three-year frame warranty and one-year for electrics and other (few) moving parts.
