DeepWay to arrive in NZ

Etrucks will bring the DeepWay electric semi‑tractor to NZ, offering price parity with diesel, 400 km+ range, and advanced features

Auckland-based Etrucks say price parity for electric and diesel semi tractors is about to arrive in the country, after announcing that they have been appointed the DeepWay truck distributor for New Zealand.

According to Etrucks, the DeepWay will be New Zealand’s most affordable BEV semi-tractor priced at $255,000 + GST (after the LEHVF funding).

The 600kWh CATL battery comes with an eight year or 1.5 million km warranty, with the distributor saying the range will be around 400 kilometres but expected to be more.

The DeepWay Star model has already covered over 200 million kilometres in customers fleets with 6200 units delivered to date in China. The advanced capabilities of the technology allows for a platooning function as standard equipment, enabling one driver to control three trucks in low-speed areas.
